September 19, 1979
Baltimore County Coalition for Handicapped Person - now it is called Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities (consisting of service providers, consumers, and County departments) unanimously approved research report: Employment for the Handicapped in Baltimore County: Analysis and Recommendations.
Recommendation #1: The Coalition Chairperson, upon consent of the County Executive (Honorable Donald P. Hutchinson) and input form the County Council, should immediately convene a subcommittee to develop a model work center which is progressively complex and challenging. County Executive approves subcommittee.
November 19, 1980
Coalition unanimously approves design proposal entitled: Model Work Center Proposal and transmits proposal to County Executive. County Executive approves Model Project.
December 15, 1980
County Executive Transmits to the County Council funds (2,800,000) for the renovation of closed North Point Junior High School for the Model Work Center Proposal. County Council Approves funds.
January 29, 1982
Coalition advertises Requests for Proposal: Baltimore County Grant to Administer the Baltimore County Model Work Center for the Handicapped. Coalition receives seven letters of intent; however, only one agency submitted a page response. County decides to develop a new private, non-profit agency to implement proposal.
August 24, 1982
The Maryland State Department of Assessments and Taxation approved Articles of Incorporation of Baltimore County Economic Development & Rehabilitation Alliance, Inc. In part, the Articles of Incorporation of the Alliance read:
· "Subject to the following statement of specific purposes, the Corporation shall operate under the overall policy objectives of the "Corporation" as the same are from time to time developed."
· "(5) The "Corporation" will reasonably and fairly develop and implement the Baltimore County Coalition For Handicapped Persons Model Work Center Proposal and Proposal's Guidelines For Requests For Proposals. Programs will include: Job Placement, Engineering, Projects with Industries, Factory Divisions."

Alliance hires Executive Director, Mr. Kali Mallik, from field of 120 candidates of nationwide and Canadian applicants.
January 3, 1984
Alliance began Community Rehabilitation Program for people with chronic mental illness at Eastern Regional Health Center.
February 7, 1984
Alliance received 501 ©(3) private non-profit tax exempt status from Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
June 26, 1985
Alliance formally opens their main building at 7701 Wise Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21222 with Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) and Factory Services.
November, 1986
Baltimore County Government elects new County Executive, Dennis F. Rasmussen, who continues to support the Alliance.
July 1, 1987
Alliance opened first Residential Program for persons with chronic mental illness.
April 24, 1990
Baltimore County Economic Development & Rehabilitation Alliance, Inc. shortened its name to Alliance, Inc. and developed a new logo.
November 14, 1991
Alliance's Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) moved to its new location (12,000 square ft. facility) at 9201 Philadelphia Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21237.
February, 1993
Alliance opened its residential services in Harford County with grants from the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Harford County Mental Health and Addictions.
January, 1995
Alliance opened its Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services in Harford County.
December 2, 1996
Alliance opened its Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PRP) and Residential Rehabilitation Program in Baltimore City.
December 8, 1997
Harford County HOPE Center's PRP services merged with Alliance.
April, 2000
Alliance opened its residential and PRP services for consumers with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders in Frederick County.
June, 2000
Case Management services for consumers of all ages with persistent mental illness opened in Harford County.
September, 2000
Alliance opened its three programs for youths with disabilities in Baltimore and Harford Counties.
September 12, 2000
Alliance's Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) at 4510 Wharf Point Court, Belcamp, MD 21017, 12,000 square ft. had a grand opening ceremony.
October, 2000
Alliance opened its Out-patient Mental Health Clinic in Harford County.
November, 2000
Alliance opened its Case Management program in Harford County
December 5, 2000
Board approves "Services and Geographic Areas" as addendum to Alliance's Mission.
September, 2001
