Alliance, Inc. received the NISH 2009 Certificate of Achievement for our outstanding performance of our AbilityOne Program contracts to provide employment and training for Americans with severe disabilities.
This certificate is presented in recognition of the high standards of performance Alliance has maintained throughout the past year in providing services to the Federal government under the AbilityOne Program.In evaluating Alliance’s Community Rehabilitation Program’s eligibility for the award, NISH considered the following criteria:
The Alliance Community Rehabilitation has excelled in all areas.
This recognition symbolizes a “job well done”. Outstanding overall performance in the Ability One Program proves that persons with severe disabilities can be productive, contributing members of society.
Alliance has been performing services at Aberdeen Proving Ground and the Food and Drug Administration for the federal government as well as for the State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore, providing jobs for over 300 persons with severe disabilities.
NISH is a national nonprofit agency whose mission is to create employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities by securing Federal contracts through the AbilityOne Program for its network of community-based, nonprofit agencies.
