Alliance Raises Nearly $25,000 at First Annual Fundraiser

More than 300 supporters joined Alliance for its Evening of Hopes and Dreams on October 21, 2010 to raise money for the organization’s consumer needs fund. County Council President and Alliance Board member, the Honorable John Olszewski, Sr., “Johnny O” led the evening with welcoming remarks and recognition of special guests.

Governor Martin O’Malley made a special appearance via pre-recorded video message acknowledging the important contributions Alliance has made to the disability community. Click to view video.

All told, Alliance raised more than $24,000. The funds will provide basic necessities for urgent needs among Alliance consumers such as clothing, utility turn off notices, and security deposits.
