Alliance Acquires Electric Hybrid Vehicle

To Improve Services for Veterans

In August 2012, Alliance acquired an electric vehicle to provide services to Veterans. The 2012 Chevy Volt is used by the Alliance vet team to provide services directly in the community to Veterans through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. An electric car charging station has been installed at Alliance’s headquarters in Dundalk. Vehicle fleet electrification technology and infrastructure development offer tremendous potential to create competitive- wage, sustainable employment opportunities, especially for veterans. Good-paying jobs are crucial in mitigating the risk of homelessness among veterans.
