The Mental Illness and Substance Abuse (MISA) Specialization Programs focus on identifying symptoms and triggers for adults with co-occurring, psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. It assists individuals with making the connection and then to simultaneously manage both issues. MISA individuals are linked to community resources such as A.A. and N.A., as well as connected to detox facilities when necessary.
Alliance offers residential and day rehabilitation to meet the needs of the MISA population. Referrals for MISA residential will be sent to the local Core Service Agency (CSA) who, in turn, will prioritize referrals to the RRP as placements are available. MISA Day rehabilitation referrals can be submitted directly to the program for screening.
